12/4/07 The item database used for tasks such as generating tooltips, parsing the Gear Planner parameters, and for building the Class Loot pages is almost fully updated to patch 2.3. It has taken much longer than usual due to the recent slowness of the Blizzard Armory along with the need for a complete refresh of every item. Rest assured that Zul'Aman will get fully styled tooltips and both the old-world 1-60 lists along with the Outlands 60-70 pages will get updated and refreshed with all the 2.3 item changes. Thanks for your patience, you will see much more frequent updates shortly!

11/14/07 The Zul'Aman raid list is now online! Due to being so new, the tooltips are still in a fairly raw unstyled format, and when proper data becomes available these will be better styled. Patch 2.3 also brings a very large amount of updates to lower level Azeroth instance loot. Rest assured that the pre-expansion loot lists will be updated with these items as soon as Armory data becomes available. In addition, Zul'Aman loot, new Heroic turn-ins, and Season 3 arena items will all be added to the Class Gear Planner as data becomes available.

8/15/07 The Karazhan Opera event has been better split in to unique and shared loot tables; along with some other minor updates here and there. Still waiting for the Armory to update for proper loot data from tier 3 raids.

11/02/07 All talent builds have been revisited, revised, and rewritten to be better in line with the current, and upcoming 2.3 patch. Also raid list rating have been revised as well with the largest adjustments to Protection and Retribution Paladins, Feral Druids, and Enhancement Shamans. These subclasses will notice a lot more Primary proirty on gear which was previously Secondary. These changes are due to not only the upcoming 2.3 patch, but also brought in line with overall class itemization issues.

8/20/07 Raid lists for The Black Temple and Mount Hyjal are now online; loot from these instances have been added to the Class Gear Planner (as tier 3 raid loot) as well! In addition, season 2 arena weapons have been added to the Class Gear Planner and are seperate from PvP honor rewards.

8/01/07 It's been pretty quite for a while, but there have been some small updates here and there. The biggest recent update is to the Class Gear Planner which now allows (through a checkbox) the ability to completely skip a stat from being rated. Tier 3 raid lists (Black Temple and Mt. Hyjal) are coming soon as well!

6/27/07 Raid lists for Serpentshrine Cavern and The Eye are now online!

6/25/07 The Class Gear Planner has been updated for Tier 2 raid content! You can now choose to view loot from Serpenshrine Cavern and The Eye. The raid lists for these instances are nearly complete and will be coming online soon.

6/05/07 Both the tooltips and the Class Gear Planner have been updated for patch 2.1 items! New sample builds are coming soon for all classes as well as an enchanting section.

5/30/07 Updated 2.1 tooltips and stats for the Class Gear Planner are coming soon, there have been some delays in the XML feeds but hopefully everything will be resolved shortly.

4/25/07 A new open beta utility, The Class Gear Planner, can now be accessed at http://www.wow-loot.com/gearguide.php! This is a pilot of a new dynamically driven tool which allows level 70 characters in the Burning Crusade to search for gear obtained from Quests, Crafts, Drops (including Random World, 5-Man Instances and Heroic Mode bosses), PvP, and Tier 1 Raid Content (including Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, and Magtherion's Lair)!

4/12/07 I'm happy to announce that Tier 1 raid lists are now online which include: Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, and Magtheridon's Lair! Although somewhat similar to the raid lists of old, a new rating system is in place due to smaller raid sizes and expanded class abilities in the expansion. I welcome any feedback you might have on these new lists and hope that they are as useful and informative as the raid lists of old. Class Gear Guides will be the next section updated with expansion content!

4/11/07 The Mage list is the last list which has been updated with the new content! There have also been numberous minor updates to the other class lists as well. Tier 1 raid lists are nearly complete and will be coming very soon!

4/10/07 After a slight delay, the Priest list is the next list for the content update! One more to go, the Mage list, which will be completed shortly.

4/3/07 The Druid list is now updated with new content! There is also a rather large update on subclass options for this class which now features Balance, Feral, and Restoration gear breakdowns.

4/2/07 The Warlock class is the next list for the content update! Druids will be up next.

3/30/07 The Hunter list is now updated with new content! Five down, four classes to go!

3/27/07 The Paladin class is the next to get their list updated! There are some pretty sizable updates on this list, with better separation between roles. Remember to refresh the page if you have it bookmarked and/or clear your browser cache to make sure you are getting the latest version.

3/23/07 The Rogue list is now updated with new content! Also, many people have been asking about raid lists. I'm happy to say that they are already well under way and should be up in the near future.

3/21/07 In a departure from the normal left to right navigation updates, Shamans will be happy to know that their class list is now updated with new content! The Rogue list will be updated next.

3/19/07 There have been a large amount of small miscellaneous updates on most of the class pages in preparation for the new content layout. Class page updates are coming very soon now!

3/15/07 The Warrior list is the first conversion to the new delivery system! Instance zone content can now be toggled between Normal mode and Heroic mode along with displaying the Instance Map and Instance Tips which feature detailed boss strategies and general instance information. Also included in this update are sample builds (enchants/jewels coming soon). The remaining lists will be updated very soon as the majority of the past few weeks work has been on developing the framework for displaying this new content.

3/9/07 The enviroment which generates the content you see on this site is undergoing a huge overhaul. This will be finished soon and then the updates mentioned below will be coming online. Also, the new content will require a fairly modern browser (IE 5.5+, Firefox/Mozilla 1.0+, Opera 8.5+) so update early.

2/18/07 The final list, the Shaman, is now updated for the Burning Crusade! Coming soon will be these new sections on the expansion lists: Herioc mode gear, Sample gear setups, Enchantments/Jewels, and PvP rewards/tokens.

2/16/07 The Paladin list has been updated with Burning Crusade loot! The last and final update for the Shaman will be coming very soon!

2/10/07 The Warlock list is updated for the Burning Crusade! Also the item popups for spell critical strike and spell penetration have been fixed (these were not showing up). Paladin update coming soon!

1/31/07 The Priest list has been updated with Burning Crusade loot! Also there are a bunch of various updates on the already online expansion pages due to such great and positive feedback from you. The warlock list is up next!

1/30/07 Another set of big updates today with the the Mage list being at the top. The Mage list, and all other expansion lists, now also include level 70 5-man instances and reputation rewards! Also, a large amount of tooltips have been corrected (due to a silly truncation issue in the database), which most notably effected the Druid list. The priest list will be next!

1/25/07 A double update today, the Hunter and Druid lists are now updated for the Burning Crusade! The level 70 5-man instances are also nearly complete and will be added, along with reputation rewards to the already completed and the future loot lists.

1/22/07 The Rogue list is updated for the Burning Crusade! Hunter list coming very soon!

1/21/07 The very first Burning Crusade list is complete, and the Warrior list is now updated with expansion content! Since there are major changes in gear all expansion lists will be seperate then the exisitng pre-expansion lists. The new Warrior list will now directly link to the expansion loot list with the ability to still view the original lists. Initally these lists contain only the new Zones, 5-man pre-70 instances, Dungeon sets, World BoE's, and talent builds. Eventually the Heroic-mode loot, crafted gear, resist gear (if applicable), and sample builds will be added as more is unravled in outland. Also, as before, raid content will not be included in the standard class lists; there will be new raid lists for these zones just as currently implemented. 1/16/07 The Burning Crusade is upon us! Rest assured that this site will continue to be updated for expansion content and the remaining guides, new tooltips (including sockets), new instances, and tradeskill items will all be added in time. 1/7/07 The Priest gear guide is now online! There have also been some minor updates on miscellaneous pages and preperations are in order to being full item tooltip updates which patch 2.0 has brought us.

12/26/06 The Mage gear guide is now online! This update also brings new patch 2.0 talent guides for all classes along with fully updated 2.0 class status information. The Priest gear guide is up next.

12/6/06 The Druid gear guide is now online! Patch 2.0 has a load of updates and all classes will be getting a new talent guide soon. Item popup data will be updated as the online databases become filled with the latest changes. These updates can be expected soon, along with the upcoming Mage gear guide.

12/5/06 The Hunter gear guide is now online, but with some hesitation. The new 2.0 patch today changes the agility to attack power ratio. The old forumla was for every point of agility the hunter would gain 2 attack power, but now a hunter will only get 1 point of attack power for every point of agility. This, along with an unusual Intellect/Mana Regen sub-build (which I don't think 90%+ of the hunters will be interested in), makes this guide the least satisfying in my opinion. Once the remaining class guides are online I will revist this list. Also I will be updating raid list ratings for hunters due to this major fundamental change in ratios.

11/27/06 Things now appear to be running smooth again and, as such, the Rogue class gear guide is now online! The hunter guide is already well on it's way and will be coming up soon.

11/14/06 Sorry about the unexpected downtime, a sudden server transfer was required. Some pages have been slightly rolled back to ensure data integrity. Heavy maintenance will be going on over the next few days but hopefully delays will be minimal.

11/7/06 Brand new class gear guides are now coming online starting the the warrior class! These new lists will expand the sample gear guides found on each of the class pages with loot from end-game content. You will be able to choose a major spec for your class and for which tier of content you are gearing up to. Please E-Mail me if you have any issues with the new guides. Guides will come online in the same order as the class navigation, so Rogues will be next. Enjoy!

10/13/06 The Naxxramas list had a few item popups which were missing stats, they have been corrected. Also, the Nature Resist sections on the AQ20 and AQ40 pages have been updated with some new items (most of which are suffix-based).

10/11/06 I am happy to announce that the Naxxramas raid list is finally complete and online for your viewing pleasure! A full frost-resist section can be found here, along with material requirements for your tier 3 set. Getting the alternate raid chats up will now be given priority.

10/4/06 The final batch of minor updates have been completed, all efforts will now focus on getting the Naxxramas list online and the alternate raid progression ratings up. Also, as you have no doubt noticed, weekly polls are being posted. There is a lot of consideration as to why things are setup as they currently exist but your voice and opinions have been, and will continue to be, a basis for much of the content you see on this site.

9/25/06 A bunch more small updates to many pages today. New sample builds on the Rogue page are now online with better role separation (burst damage vs sustained combat). The hunter builds will also be getting a similar review shortly.

8/24/06 All pages are now updated with patch 1.12 data (including updated Rogue builds). The raid lists have also been given a very sizeable review with many updated ratings, alphabetized listings, and more explanatory preface text on how items are rated. Since many guilds use these lists as a basis for raid loot assignment you may want to take some time to review the new ratings and their setup; if there are any issues or problems please feel free to e-mail me.

8/14/06 There has been a bunch of miscellaneous updates to nearly every page. Also I want to thank everyone for not only their positive support of this site, but all the corrections, questions, and ideas which I get e-mailed constantly. This site would not nearly be as successful were it not for such a strong community; this site has grown from a small warrior list from a little over a year ago to the major WoW fansite it is today! Without you this would not be possible and I want to give a big /thanks to everyone!

8/3/06 Enhanced suffix support is here! Items which can have random affixes will now be properly displayed with a list off all possible affixes and their corresponding bonuses. Also, many of the class lists resist gear have received updates as a result of this feature.

7/31/06 A bunch of PvP updates for all class pages are now online. Warsong Gultch and the rare PvP set are the major updates here with Warsong Gultch rewards now properly split between the Alliance pieces and Horde peices (the Alterac Valley rewards are also split correctly between Alliance and Horde).

7/17/06 Many of the pages have received some minor updates. The Naxxramas list is coming together well; guild Death and Taxes of Korgath(US) is leading the servers with 11 bosses down, congrats! Once all 15 bosses have been downed expect the page to be online shortly there after.

7/12/06 The second, and last, set of 1.11 updates is now complete! All class pages have been updated with the new Argent Dawn invasion rewards, and the new Cenarion Circle crafted nature resist gear has been added to the corresponding raid resistance lists. Also, the raid lists now include drop percentages and lastly, the priest list has a new mana regen gear guide.

7/6/06 The bulk of the 1.11 updates are now complete (with Zul'Gurub receiving the most attention). A brand new navigation format for raid content is also here to better support the growing number of raid instances with 20-max and 40-max content separated. The Ahn'Qiraj list has been split because of this into two raid lists: The Ruins (AQ20) and The Temple (AQ40). Finally, Naxxramas will eventually be coming online, however the loot tables will first need to be filled before the page can truly take form.

7/5/06 Updates for the 1.11 patch are now coming online for many of the lists! As a new bonus, the standard class lists now display the drop percentage for loot obtained from mobs, enjoy!

6/29/06 Argent Dawn is the first US server to complete the Scourge Invasion event (congrats!), but to say that it is anti-climatic is an understatement. Unfortunately, not only are many of the quests now dead (which a CM has said will be fixed), but the new bosses in Scholomance, Dire Maul, Stratholme, etc... are all gone. The 1.11 updates that have been started for the lists will have to be tweaked because of this; although delayed, they will be coming online soon.

6/21/06 Patch 1.11 has finally been released! However, like the patches of the past, it will take a few days before you start seeing updates here due to the online databases being populated with fresh data.

6/11/06 It's been fairly quiet lately because of the coming storm that is patch 1.11. The database used to create item popup data is currently being updated to better support random suffix items.

5/25/06 In anticipation of patch 1.11 talent builds have been updated for the Druid, Mage, and Shaman. I'm waiting to update the Zul'Gurub page since 1.11 will also be giving quest rewards and drops a small overhaul.

5/7/06 Talent builds are down at the moment since wowhead.com is having what appears to be bandwidth issues. Also I'm aware that some instance guides are also broken, I'm looking in to mirroring both guides and wowhead.com's excellent talent calculator.

5/4/06 Blackwing Lair is now updated with a new Fire Resist section! Ahn'Qiraj is at the top of the priority list now and will be up very soon!

5/3/06 The paladin and shaman pages are now fully 1.10 updated! Also up is a new Fire Resist section for The Molten Core and Onyxia (BWL coming soon) which includes an end-game resist list that so many of you have been asking for! A similar type Nature Resist section is also on the way for Zul'Gurub. Also know that I have not forgot about AQ20/40, the pages are coming along well and should be up soon.

5/1/06 More class updates! The priest and warlock class pages are now 1.10 updated. The final two classes should be done very soon. Also coming soon are new resist sections on the raid lists!

4/27/06 1.5TB (yes, that is 1,500GB) a month in bandwidth out! I've hit my standard hosting bandwidth cap and my bill now has a new fee tagged on for excessive bandwidth. I've upgraded my plan and, as you have probably already noticed, added ads by google to every page. As much as I have resisted advertising it has to become a reality now since wow-loot.com is getting around 30k unique visits a day. In more light-hearted news the druid and mage page have been fully updated for patch 1.10.

4/25/06 The first batch of updates for new 1.10 items are complete, the warrior, rogue, and hunter pages are fully up to date. The next batch will be faster now that finally have some method to the madness!

4/19/06 Two tiny little name changes from 1.10 updates effectivly broke three pages (druid, paladin, and shaman). The bug has been squashed, sorry about that. Updates for new 1.10 items will most likely be done on a class by class basis rather then one big update.

4/18/06 All items have been updated to 1.10 stats! Unfortunately some items have changed location and these are not yet reflected in this update. Drop locations and new 1.10 items (including the dungeon 2 sets) will be coming soon so don't worry.

4/2/06 Patch 1.10 items are coming soon for all the curious! There are a lot of updated items and a bunch of new ones, so please be patient while the loot tables fill out. If all goes well, every class list will be updated by the end of the week.

3/22/06 A totally new design is now online (as you probably noticed)! A more "warcraft" like feel is here, along with a little easier color scheme on the eyes for late night browsing. Please contact me if you have any issues, praise, or disgust for the new site.

In addition, all the standard class and raid lists have been updated with popups. And finally, the World Encounter raid list is also online. Ahn'Qiraj is up next!

3/6/06 Multiple updates this time; the mage, molten core, and onyxia lists are now updated!

2/24/06 Finally, the Blackwing Lair raid list has been completed! You'll notice the same popups here as seen on the v3.0 class lists. The other raid lists will also be upgraded after the I have finished the rest of the class lists.

2/23/06 The Druid list is now up! You'll also find a new mechanism on this page for only showing certain sub-class (feral, caster, hybrid) items. Paladins and Shamans will also have this feature. Next up, mages!

2/21/06 The Hunter list is now up, druids are next!

2/13/06 The Rogue list is now updated, moving on to the hunter list!

2/9/06 The Warrior list has recieved a HUGE update, say hello to rollover item popup data! A big thanks goes out to www.wowguru.com for supplying the XML needed for me to cache a local item database and Allakhazam for supplying the PNG images. Please e-mail me if you have any problems viewing the newly improved Warrior list. I will be updating the other lists in navigational order as I go, including patch 1.9 items. In addition, the Blackwing Lair raid list will most likely go up somewhere in the middle of the class lists.

1/11/06 The Onyxia and Zul'Gurub raid lists are now online!. Also thanks for the very encouraging feedback on the new raid lists. There will be pretty frequent updates as I iron out all the kinks in them. Next up will be Blackwing Lair!

1/9/06 After some debate, and the persistence of so many of you, completely new Raid Lists are coming online now! The first one up is The Molten Core which you can access through the new links below. The standard class loot lists will remain separate from these to keep casuals and raiders both happy and informed.

12/16/05 A very exhaustive and comprehensive update here. Every link on the loot lists has been checked and there should be absolutely no more dead/wrong links. All of the class guides have also been updated with the new loot. Next update will add fire resist sections to the remaining classes!

11/14/05 All pages have been updated with patch 1.7 AND 1.8 items! Silithus has been a little difficult to add the way the lists are setup, and while I'm not quite sure some of the items obtained are "pickup group friendly", I've added them to keep with the Blizzard theme of "Silithus is soloer friendly" (up for debate). It also appears that thottbot has purged some duplicates. The next update will fix these links.

11/09/05 Thottbot.com seems to be having some issues lately, it looks like many of the more populated, properly linked items in their database are now "missing" and that many links (especially NPCs in Maraudon, Zul'Farrak, and Sunken Temple) appear to be broken. I won't be changing the loot links until I get a response from thottbot about this problem and see whether or not it's permanent (it would seem a step backwards) or if its simply a bug.

11/08/05 All class pages have been updated with new talent guides! Also there are a bunch of little fixes that have been made to many pages (broken/incorrect links, formatting, and/or item updates). I'm now in the process of loading up patch 1.7 AND 1.8 items to the lists. Hopefully this update will take much less time then the talents.

10/18/05 The Shaman page is now online, all the loot lists are finally up!!! /cheer! If you also haven't noticed, this page is now properly nameserved at www.wow-loot.com (finally)! The next task will be updating the lists with patch 1.7 items which may be a little tricky. I'll also be updating the class pages with more information about class status and sample talent builds. Then I'll finally get around to writing the about page!

10/17/05 The Paladin page is now online! I'm currently working on the Shaman page and as soon as it is complete I will be adding Patch 1.7 items to the lists. Some people have been asking about Zul'Gurrub and I've ultimately decided to NOT add the loot to the standard lists (ZG is just not PuG friendly). However, this is not to say that end-game instance loot won't be added in some form to this site.
