This loot list is dedicated for helping you gear up your warrior as best as possible. This list includes all Azeroth (pre-Burning
Crusade) loot up to patch 2.3, but no end-game content or Outland gear. The list is split into the following parts:
Please note: This list is by no means a "warrior's have exclusive rights to this" equip list. Please be considerate of
your group members and respect loot rules. Most of the higher-end items are useful to multiple classes and there may be items
listed here that, although useful on a warrior, are possibly more effective in another classes hands.
New for 1.10, the Heroism warrior set is obtained by completing a long series of quests
which will upgrade your Valor set. You will need the corresponding valor set piece for each step in the upgrade process.
A very popular leveling build, the Arms tree has some great versitile survival based talents with the greatest area of performance
based on weapon selection (all that is requried is to keep fairly up to date is a big, high damage 2-hander). Arms also is more
than capable to tanking any instance from 1-58. Pickup the key 31-point Mortal Strike talent as soon as possible, however, additional
points beyond a handful in Arms generally pale in comparison to a deeper Fury sencondary tree.
Another popular leveling build, Fury is very stong in both sustained DPS and rage generation; this is however offset by the
dual-wield miss penalty. Performance is based on keeping not just top-notch weapons up to do, but also keeping AP and Crit
rate high (there is so little Hit that it's extremely difficult to stack it). Some prefer to wait until Outlands before switching
to Fury.
This specs high survivability, great instance specing, and general low-range gear requirements are offset by lackluster damage
capabilities meaning long fights. Protection isn't generally considered a soloer's spec until the 41-point Devestate talent can
be obtained along with some decent dual-wielding 1-handers. On the plus side you'll be well on your way to understanding what
it means to be a tank and you'll be very popular with PvE instance runners.
